Stephenson
AIA, ALEP
Principal / Studio Lead
Drawn to the field of architecture by a love for drawing, Nick Stephenson has been a licensed architect since 2002 and has over 30 years of experience in the industry. Well-versed in consultant coordination, building detailing and waterproofing, and construction administration, Nick’s experience includes educational, residential, hospital, winery and commercial projects; but his favorite projects are those that have a connection to the community and enhance education. In 2016, he was certified as an Accredited Learning Environments Planner (ALEP) by the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), currently held by less than 424 of the nation’s most qualified designers and planners of school facilities.
A skilled communicator and leader, Nick has managed many complex projects during his years as Project Architect, Project Manager and Studio Lead. In 2022, he was promoted to Principal.
The son of two truck drivers, Nick was the first in his family to attend college. While attending the University of California, Davis, he played on the varsity football team and got the opportunity to design his own Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design. A Sonoma County native and parent of three boys, Nick enjoys coaching youth sports, volunteering at his children’s schools, and mountain biking with his wife.
