Sonoma Academy’s Community Performing Arts Center was recognized as the top California K-12 project in ENR’s 2024 Best Project Awards competition. It also received an Award of Merit for Safety and was selected as a Project of the Year finalist, which enters the project in the ENR Best of the Best national awards program. Additionally, the project was honored with a 2024 Excellence in Construction Award from the North Bay Business Journal.
Completed in Spring 2024, the 27,000 sq.ft., facility hosts the college preparatory school’s theater, music and film productions, as well as serve as a gathering place for the campus and a community resource hosting various types of arts programming. The theater includes a flexible seating capacity for up to 428 people, stage and full orchestra pit, along with supporting spaces that together provide an experience on par with that of a professional theater.
