Neil Cummins Elementary School

New Classroom Buildings & Classroom Modernization

Corte Madera, CA

Designed to bring this elementary school in line with next generation learning environments, existing classroom wings were modernized, including the addition of spaces between each pair of classrooms. These new, flexible spaces enhance the school’s existing day lit classrooms and allow for teachers to work together on collaborative projects.

New outdoor learning areas enrich the overall redesign of the classrooms and allow for an integrated curriculum extending beyond the walls. Later, six new classrooms were built using these same principals, as well as the addition of art storage spaces, a kiln room and outdoor art sinks.

"The collaborative spirit and work ethic of QKA contributed 100% to the success of their projects."
