Theater + Classroom Restoration
St. Helena Unified School District | St. Helena, CA
750 students | 27,000 sf
The St. Helena Elementary School renovation began as a mechanical + electrical repair project. During construction a fire devastated the original 1930’s theater and classroom building. The east wing was burned beyond repair while the theater, administration and west classrooms suffered smoke damage. The theater underwent significant alterations as a result of the fire. The restoration included the removal of a 1970’s heating system that lowered the classroom ceilings and covered windows.
