Recognizing the need for new and improved facilities, the Pacifica School District set out on an ambitious course to improve their seven campuses. Passionate about their schools, the coastal community of Pacifica rallied behind the district, passed a $30 million construction bond and actively participated in a master planning process that took their schools into the twenty-first century. QKA facilitated several sessions with the community and district to explore educational program needs, campus conditions, growth and grade level configurations. This community based plan provided an invaluable forum to openly discuss topics and to facilitate community support. Combined with land sales & OPSC funds, this set a $70 million sixyear project.
