QKA worked closely with diverse stakeholder groups at Cupertino, Homestead and Lynbrook High Schools to develop a Facilities Master Plan (FMP) for each campus, with a goal of accommodating significant enrollment growth and an evolved 21st Century learning curriculum. Throughout this process the team worked closely with a dedicated site committee at each school comprised of district representatives, the principal, vice principals and lead teachers. Through these meetings, a deep understanding of the facilities needs at each campus was gained and collaboratively developed design solutions were identified to address them.
In addition to meeting with the stakeholders at each school, a Facilities Assessment performed at each campus was focused on infrastructure and utility needs as well as the ability of the existing facilities to meet the needs of the Fremont Union High School District’s (FUHSD) current and future educational goals. The needs identified in this assessment were combined with the input received from each community to create the comprehensive FMP.
