The Anderson Valley Unified School District serves approximately 635 students from kindergarten through twelfth grade at two campuses: an elementary school and a combined junior and senior high school. For the Assessment and Master Planning project, entire modernizations of both campuses were considered, including all buildings, the site and relationships to adjacent property. In addition to surveying each campus, QKA met with small and large groups, looked at current programs, opportunities for 21st century learning, and local business/industrial connections to establish career path learning. Energy efficiency and generation options were also explored and analyzed. The Master Plan maps the District’s vision for improvement and provides a flexible document for the District to prioritize and track projects as funding opportunities are available.
