The Mercury News Highlights QKA’s Projects for Fremont Union High School District

Fremont Union High School District (FUHSD) recently broke ground on two new multi-use Educational Option buildings, which will house the District's alternative education and support programs. FUHSD chose to use QKA’s innovative building solution Folia to bring the project to life and Principal Aaron Jobson is quoted in The Mercury News’ article on its sustainability and energy-saving benefits. This year also saw the completion of two new Folia buildings for FUHSD’s Cupertino High School.

Homes for Sonoma Prepares for Installation of First Five Fire Survivor Cottages

QKA’s Folia Complex at Cupertino High School Wins Innovation Award from Silicon Valley Business Journal

With its project partners, QKA is proud to announce that the Silicon Business Journal has named Fremont Union High School District’s Science and Classroom Complex at Cupertino High School the "Innovation Project” in its annual Structures awards. The profile, “Prefab science project comes in early, under budget," attributes the innovation of our Folia building solution to the project’s completion in nearly half the amount of time projected and $3 million under budget.

Luth & Associates, was included in the San Francisco Business Times’ article, “The prefab revolution comes to commercial construction.” The article cites cost and time saving benefits as driving factors of the rising popularity of prefabricated structures, explaining how Folia has found success in the K-12 market, saving school districts millions of dollars and cutting construction time in half.
