The idea for Folia came after the company kept fielding similar requests from school districts for two-story buildings that could be erected quickly and under tight budgets.
“Folia has become a big hit,” Blach CEO Dan Rogers said. “We can achieve a 25-to-35 percent cost savings. It’s huge. It can be millions of dollars.”
One project, Cupertino High School, was completed in about a year — half the time traditional construction would have taken — and helped the district save around $6 million.
